Despair

I try to look deep within
To find the strength to go on
But I fear that strength has left me
And I am running on fumes

I try to find that part of me
That has the courage to fight
But I fear that the battle
May have already been lost

Greater warriors that I
Have fallen at your feet
But I shall not let you win
My greatest enemy

The villain that stalks my days
The evil that haunts my dreams
The creature that lurks inside of me
I shall not give in to despair
